Moving to Florida -Designing a Space with a Florida Feel…by Diane Leone Design

The Coachys called, said they were moving to Florida and needed help designing their new condo. They lived in the northeast and would be moving to Florida when the condo was complete. They needed a designer to assist in the selection of all the finishes, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, floors, paint, furniture, and accessories. They had never worked with a designer yet they knew they needed help to completely design their new condo so it was move-in ready when they were ready to move.

After a few meetings and email and phone contact,  presented Jim and Tina with my vision for their condo, based on their wants, lifestyle, and budget. They enjoyed the model I had designed for the developer yet wanted theirs to be customized for their taste. The colors of earthy light tans, seafoam greens, and blues are found throughout the design. Custom furniture pieces allowed for fabric selections that had the colors and the patterns needed for the design. With no interest in full Florida coastal decor, yet still wanting their condo to reflect a Florida lifestyle, I selected colors, fabrics, and accessories that had a subtle ocean and beach feel.

This project includes custom-made drapery, custom-made furnishings throughout, custom-designed bedding, and accessories to complete the design.
